When I was a child, my parents and I visited the beach a few times. I remember enjoying myself until one day I received an incredibly bad sunburn. It was one of the truly terrible experiences of my life.
Later in life, a girlfriend reintroduced me to the beach, and since that time in 1992 I've visited many beaches and learned they are, indeed, wonderful places.
